INTENSIVE REFORMER TEACHER TRAINING with Muse Movement

Our reformer training produces thoughtful, skilled, creative and compassionate teachers. Like with our Mat Training we do more than just teach you a repertoire of exercise. We dive deep into the why of each exercise and how to modify for a diversity of students and the different needs they bring.

We prepare our students to think on their feet; to teach group classes and private clients safely and confidently. We employ a variety of different hands-on learning tools to cater to different learning styles. Expect lots of supported practice teaching and integrative learning in this course that runs over an intensive week-long.
 

This is an intimate and extensive training with extremely knowledgeable, experienced and supportive faculty that provides a unique and contemporary perspective that will leave you armed with insight and ready to teach.

The Reformer Pilates Teacher Training Certification will be delivered by Muse Movement faculty & facilitators.  

 

Mat Pilates Certification is a prerequisite for the Intensive Reformer Teacher Training.

DETAILED OVERVIEW OF COURSE:

In-Class Sessions & Workshops - 80 hrs:

  • Over 50 Exercises with Modifications

  • Integrative Anatomy

  • Extensive Guided Practice Teaching

  • Hands on Group and individual assignments

  • How to Teach Privates - How to listen to and read bodies in movement on the reformer and have the keenest eye to best serve clients

  • How to teach for Injuries and Special Accommodations

  • How to Sequence a methodical and creative class

  • The art of progression

  • How to get creative with the reformer


Practicum - Over 100 hrs:

  • Observation: 15 hrs

  • Practice Teaching : 45 hrs

  • Personal Practice: 45 hrs

DATES:  

9-Day Intensive Program running August 9th - August 17th, 10am - 6pm each day

Accommodation is available.

Exams are scheduled individually.

PRICING:

​Once you are accepted, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. Full payments must be received one month prior to training. Once full payments are received there are no refunds unless the training is cancelled by Muse Movement.
 

The Pricing Includes:

  • 80 hours of in-studio learning 

  • 20 Reformer Classes plus reduced rates for 6 months

  • 3 Months Muse On Demand Membership

  • Muse Reformer Manual

  • Access to EAST Studio for practice teaching

  • EAST Mentorship Program (6 hrs)

  • First consideration for EAST teaching positions upon graduation

*Exams are an additional cost of $240 and can be scheduled with an EAST teacher when you are ready.

$500 every month starting July until paid
