CAREN COOPER-BRIDEL

Caren is the founder of EAST STUDIO and certified yoga, Pilates and barre instructor with over 18 years in the wellness industry.  Beginning her career in business & event planning has helped prepare Caren for starting and managing her own studio.

During the global COVID pandemic, Caren realised there would be a need for wellness studios when everything started to open up.  After months of looking at spaces and delays, Caren finally found the perfect space. With the support of family & friends, and collaborations with incredible and creative minds, EAST STUDIO was created.

DESTA COVEL

Full of gratitude for the life changing impact that yoga has had on her life, Desta wanted to become a yoga teacher to share the incredible benefits of the practice with others. Desta’s classes weave movement, breath and moments of stillness together in a way that is lighthearted but also intentional. She is a RYT-500 yoga teacher, and since beginning teaching in 2015, Desta has taught in Canada and Australia, and has completed trainings in vinyasa, yin and restorative yoga.

NATASHA HILLIARD

Natasha developed a passion for fitness after the birth of her third son in 2009. Since then she has become a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor through the YMCA. Over the past 12 years she has worked with people of all fitness levels and ages. Her main goal is to create a welcoming environment for everyone and to show participants that fitness can and should be fun. You can expect lots of positive energy and laughter in her classes. She will tell you that laughing is a great way to work your core. 

KIM JAYE

With over 2000 hours of training, 15 years teaching and 25 years of practice experience, one can expect clear considered communication with thoughtful sequencing and an uplifting atmosphere in all of Kim's classes.

She is devoted to knowing the teaching methodologies, her practice is inspired unpretentious, fluid and generous.  All levels of students will find balance and acceptance while calming the mind as they challenge the body.

Kim's teachings and practice incorporate elements of many yoga lineages, teachers and peers bringing focus home to the heart while honouring the flow in a safe, inclusive space.

LUCY MOODIE

Lucy, is a 200 Hrs Plus RYT with Yoga Alliance and has been teaching/guiding for 10 years. She is passionate about yoga and constantly learning and applying what she learns. Lucy encourages her students/participants to work from their body at that time. This way they don’t feel embarrassed or discouraged.

Lucy enjoys the YIN yoga and teach and guide more on this style. However still enjoys the Yang style (e.g. Hatha).

Lucy brings a lighthearted, joyful energy to each practice and is a genuinely nice, warm approachable individual. She has a deep interest in yoga and loves to share with participants.
